What this is

LOLWAR.LOL is a public leaderboard. Every listing has a hold value — the amount currently paid to keep it in its spot — and a steal price, which is always exactly 1.5× the hold value. Anyone can pay that price to take the spot over, replacing the listing that was there with their own link.

There's no other ranking signal. Not clicks, not category, not how long a listing has been up. Rank is set entirely by hold value, highest first.

If your link has never been listed, you can add it for any amount starting at $1 — that becomes its hold value. If it's already listed, or you want a specific spot that someone else holds, you steal that spot for 1.5× its current hold value instead. Full mechanics are on the Rules page.

This is an independent site, not affiliated with any other pay-to-rank leaderboard. It shares the general idea — money determines a public rank — with a few other sites that appeared around the same time, but the steal mechanic, the code, and the design here are our own.

Payments are processed by Creem and go toward running the site. There's no other product or return attached to a listing — you're paying for a position on this page, for as long as nobody outbids the steal price.
